Connect a Roblox group

A Linked clan mirrors a Roblox group. That makes membership and rank names one thing instead of two — but it also means the group wins every disagreement.

What the group owns

On a Linked clan, Roblox is the source of truth for who is in the clan and what the ranks are called. Rank changes you make in Archievery push out to the group as they happen.

Reading the sync status

The clan page shows a status strip. It matters more than it looks, because all three states serve a full member list — one of them from a copy that has stopped updating.

StateWhat it means
ConnectedArchievery can act on the group. Changes push through.
PendingYou chose bot mode and the bot hasn't been added yet.
SoftArchievery can no longer authenticate with Roblox. In OAuth mode that means your authorization expired or was revoked; in bot mode, that the bot's access stopped working.

In Pending and Soft you still see members and ranks, served from Archievery's own copy. What you can't do is push anything back to Roblox.

Joining, leaving, and ownership

All three happen on roblox.com. Join the group to join the clan; leave the group to leave it. The clan page links straight to the group rather than making you find it.

Ownership transfers the same way — hand the group to someone on Roblox and the clan follows. The dashboard's transfer control is for Group-less clans only.
