Award XP and auto-promotion
XP is the number that drives promotion. Give it out for whatever your clan cares about, set a threshold on each rank, and the ladder mostly runs itself.
Awarding XP
- Open your clan and stay on the Users tab.
- Select the members you want to award.
- Choose to add, subtract, or set XP.
- Enter the amount and confirm.
Adding and subtracting are one permission; setting an exact value is a separate one. An officer can be trusted with the first without the second — see Set rank permissions.
Capping how much one person can move
Each rank has an XP Change Limit: the most a member of that rank can add or remove in a single action. Leave it empty and there is no cap.
Auto-promotion
Give a rank an XP Requirement and members promote themselves by reaching it. You don't have to approve anything.
- XP Gate — members must reach the threshold before being promoted to this rank.
- Skip in Promotion — the rank is skipped during automatic promotion cycles. Useful for honorary or role-specific ranks that shouldn't be on the ladder.
